If you’re looking for the best London ceilidh band, covering weddings, parties, festivals, more, you’ve come to the right place! Check out our videos.
We are: Martin Clarke (caller and fiddle), Beth Chamberlain (lead fiddle), Joe o’Connor (button accordion), Will Chamberlain (keys). Find out more…
We usually only play as a set lineup, to keep our music as tight and polished as possible. This means that we’re in demand and availability is limited. If you’re interested, Get in touch now to check your preferred dates! More about us…
Fundamentally, nothing beats getting people up on their feet, having a great time dancing to wonderful music! To make sure that our ceilidhs are suitable and fun for all abilities, we carefully explain all our dances. In our opinion, there’s really only one rule: if you’re enjoying yourself you’re doing it right!
Any questions, or interested in booking us?
What we play
Great ceilidh dance music! Generally, our repertoire is mostly Celtic music – Scottish, Irish and English ceilidh tunes, including favourites like Strip the Willow, Gay Gordons and Dashing White Sergeant.
Where?
In short, we cover London, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hampshire. If your area isn’t listed, just ask, because we may be able to travel further for your event. On occasion, we’ve travelled much further afield, with bookings in Norway, France and Croatia!
We’re in demand – get in quick!
With new enquiries also coming in all the time, and with all of us also having other musical commitments, our calendar fills up rapidly. As you might expect, Saturday nights are the most popular time. So to avoid disappointment, consider holding your celebration at another time, like Friday night or Sunday afternoon, if it’s an option for you.
Silver Street Ceilidh Band Cancellation policy
Covid presented a whole host of challenges for everyone and we all had to adapt. As a result, we lost a huge amount of work and income, but we know we’re far from alone. We want to be as fair as possible, and we’ll continue to treat each situation individually. After speaking with clients, the general policy we’ve settled on regarding deposits and cancellations is as follows:
- In order to allow greater flexibility, if you have to cancel your event as a result of uncertainty around Covid we will not charge you any of the outstanding balance.
- As a rule, the deposit is not normally refundable. However, if you’re able to re-schedule your event to a new date, we’re happy to carry over the original deposit.
- Generally, if we’ve had to incur any additional costs (as agreed with you previously), for example travel tickets, we’ll do our best to reclaim these. However, if we’re not able to, unfortunately we wouldn’t then be able to refund you.
